Pop sensation Meghan Trainor is showing no signs of slowing down! The young Grammy nominated talent has announced that her new single (set to follow on from the smash hits “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Movin'”) will officially be “Dear Future Husband”. Produced by Kevin Kadish, “Husband” is an uptempo number that fans of Title have shown an appreciation for since the album was released and ever since she’s started performing the song live more people have grown into the idea of it being an official radio single.
A lot of online banter recently has suggested that “Title” might be the preferred single choice and while it may not have been picked as the third single I have no doubt in my mind that it – or the John Legend collaboration track “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” – both stand a good chance of wrapping up the album era for her towards the latter stages of this year. I don’t doubt that the album will have a fourth and potentially a fifth single this year still.
The official audio to “Dear Future Husband” already has 25 000 000 views/listens on Youtube thanks to it being one of the first songs being released on her debut EP late last year while “All About That Bass” was growing internationally. If you ask me, I’d say that it’s pretty interesting that her radio campaign will kick off with these kinds of numbers already and I expect that CHR stations around the world will jump onto the song sooner rather than later.
